Redlands CA, Restaurant Review - Mona Lisa’s
Their Own Corner

While Mona Lisa’s has been in town for many, many years they now have a building to permanently call home - where Colton Ave. meets with Redlands Blvd. And I’m sure that they will be there for some time to come.

While their location looks like a fast food place, they way they cook and act is anything but a fast food place. Their employees and Ed recognize regulars like you would expect in a hometown restaurant. And the big plus is the value for their meals.

The food at Mona Lisa’s is straightforward wholesome Italian cuisine. When dining in, they will bring your food to the table in the take-out containers (minus lids). Don’t be dismayed; the food is tasty and plentiful. They have a limited menu but it covers all the basics. The pastas: spaghetti, mostaccioli, ravioli, tortellini, eggplant Parmesan, lasagna and manicotti costs from $3.95 to $5.25. They also serve a variety of Italian sandwiches and sub-sandwiches all of which costs $3.95. The usual hot sandwiches are also $3.95. Their salads cost either $3.75 or $4.25.

But the best deals are their Specials. As a friend told me, "Where can you feed a family of 4 and have leftovers for $12.95?" They have 2 Family Meals: Spaghetti and Mostaccioli. These come with the basic pasta, your choice of marinara or meat sauce, 10 pieces of garlic bread and Parmesan cheese, all for $12.95. You can order this through their drive-through window and be home in moments. They have a Daily Special for $3.95, which varies by day, and comprises of Sausage & Peppers over Spaghetti, Spaghetti Putanesca, Mostacolli Caponata, Rigatoni with House Sauce or Fettuccini Alfredo. All of these include garlic bread.

Mona Lisa’s is the place for value dining and friendly service. Their Specials are bargains, particularly for the family diners.ADDRESS: 1405 W. Colton Ave.
