7th Annual Orange Muffin Festival at Plymouth Village
3/31/2010 - 7th Annual Orange Muffin Festival at Plymouth Village
Redlands, CA - PlymouthVillage, a Continuing Care Retirement Community, is hosting their Seventh Annual Orange Muffin Festival on the lawn and veranda of Kendall Place Historic Home, 120 East Palm Avenue, Redlands, on Saturday, April 17th from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
Guests are encouraged to relax on the veranda while enjoying a large orange muffin with orange butter, baked by Plymouth Village Chef, Pat Alfaro. This famous muffin comes from the original EdwardsMansion recipe. PlymouthVillage is the historical site of the EdwardsMansion (before it was moved to the north side of the 10 freeway). Along with the muffin and delicious orange butter, guests may select a beverage of locally grown fresh-squeezed orange juice, coffee, or hot tea- all for $3.00. Orange muffins and orange butter may be purchased by the half and baker’s dozen as well.
PlymouthVillage residents will display hand crafted items for sale on the lawn at Kendall House. The Olde Curiosity Shoppe, PlymouthVillage’s own thrift store, will be open for business as well and features gently-used items and unique collectibles. Other participating vendors will be showcasing their boutique items that will include; home décor, specialty candles, collectible books and journals, decorative quilts, hand dyed scarves and art ware, estate jewelry, handcrafted treasures, and gift baskets -to name a few!
Talented musician, Benjamin Ordaz, returns this year with his live Andean Music. The Buttonette’s, a charming group of young ladies from the Yucaipa High School Madrigals, will perform in close-harmony to the tunes of the 30’s and 40’s (think- ‘Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy’), and the 66’ers Baseball Dance Team -featuring their energetic mascot, “Bernie”, will visit as well.
PlymouthVillage is a 37 acre garden-like retirement community, celebrating over 50 years in the community of Redlands.
